Wedding Inspiration: The Greatest Showman
It’s always fun to think outside the box and come up with fresh ideas that you just don’t see every day. When creating styled shoots here at the barn, we always try to make sure that the overall theme is not something that we’ve seen before.
There should always be a few concepts that could easily be incorporated into a real wedding or event, and we typically try to do that with our flower designs and installations.
For this styled shoot, Kaitlyn had the incredible idea of combining elements from The Greatest Showman and The Great Gatsby; sort of a 1920’s vibe meets a whimsical circus theme. Sounds a little crazy, right? But when you take Kaitlyn’s amazing eye for photography, combine it with Jessica’s eye for details, and Jenn’s love of flowers, it all just comes together. And, as you can see in the photos above, the performers are AMAZING.
As is the case for most events, the invitation really sets the tone:
I really love the idea of an acrylic invitation-- it’s very modern and clean, and you’ll notice that we used that same concept again with acrylic ghost chairs around the head table.
The adorable models are real-life husband and wife (married 5 years!) and don’t you think his green jacket looks incredible? More grooms should wear something other than black, blue or gray! I also love how the flowers and grasses are weaved into the bride’s romantic, loose braid.
And of course, my favorite element of any styled shoot, wedding, or event is always the flowers!
Below are a few more photos from the shoot; it was such a fun day and I hope it leaves you with a bit of inspiration for your wedding or event!
